- Family: from about ฿53,000 ($1,600) before international-school fees.
What things cost
- Rent: a one-bed city-centre condo about ฿11,000/month; more for a pool building or a house.
- Utilities: electricity (air-con dependent), water and internet — check the per-unit electricity rate.
- Food: a local meal from about ฿50–70; a café coffee about ฿60–70; cooking at home keeps grocery bills low.
- Transport: a short Grab or taxi ride about ฿150; songthaew (red truck) from ฿30; monthly mobile data around ฿130.
- Coworking: a hot desk roughly ฿6,000/month if you need one.
What moves the budget most
Housing and schooling drive the biggest differences. Living centrally in a new condo, eating imported food and running air-con all day costs far more than a suburban house with local food and fans. International-school fees, where relevant, are usually the single largest family expense.
