Ask for the outcome
Depending on the submission channel, request the receipt or record showing completion. A partly completed form, a pre-submission screenshot or the lease is not necessarily evidence of a finished notification. Confirm which address and arrival the record covers, rather than accepting an old resident’s or previous address’s receipt.
Check the details
Compare the name, relevant passport fields, address and dates with the actual stay and identity document. Keep a readable electronic copy instead of only a blurred chat thumbnail. If information differs, ask the original reporting person to query or correct it properly. Do not edit the image yourself.
Store the confirmed record
Keep the original file and the reporting contact, labelled by address and date. A residence-notification receipt does not establish that visa, residence-extension or other reporting requirements have also been completed. If no completion record is available, ask about the actual submission status and, where necessary, the responsible immigration office’s enquiry procedure.
