Establish the grounds
Read the delivery date, extension conditions, notice and cancellation clauses alongside applicable mandatory protections. Delay, a permitted extension and a right to cancel require separate assessment. Have the actual documents reviewed independently where the amount or disagreement is material.
Make the request specific
Identify the agreement and unit, payments made, relevant facts and provisions, and the cancellation and repayment requested. Deliver it to the correct contracting company through the appropriate method and retain the record. A request is not the same as an agreed or legally effective cancellation. Do not assume that sending it automatically ends every further payment or obligation.
Check the response
If accepted, confirm refund amount, timing, expenses and the effect of settlement documents. Understand deductions and releases before signing. If refused, retain the agreement, payment history, notices and replies for an appropriate consumer service or legal adviser. A verbal sales assurance does not replace the final arrangement.
