Check your own home
Establish whether the exact unit is finished, vacant and equipped with usable essential services. An open show home or neighbours already living in the development does not prove your unit is ready. Ask about access and practical effects where nearby common areas remain under construction.
Connect the date to handover
Confirm key delivery, payment, necessary formalities and outstanding work. Identify essential pre-occupancy items and work both sides accept can follow. An estimate such as “end of the month” needs a date and an explanation of remaining conditions.
Coordinate the move
Once the important conditions are confirmed, arrange movers, furniture delivery and the end of existing accommodation. Allow a practical margin without treating every minor cosmetic item as a reason to postpone everything. If the date changes, obtain an updated explanation and adjust the plan. Keep an identifiable handover arrangement rather than relying on repeated verbal changes.
With the date established, read Check Furniture and Appliances Included with a New Home.
