Check visible condition
In normal light, examine frames, panels, glass and accessible hardware for damage, loose parts or missing items. Distinguish marks on protective film from damage to the actual surface. Ask the site representative to clear an obscured area before confirming it. Notice obvious conflicts with furniture, appliances or adjacent doors.
Open, close and lock normally
Use the intended handles and mechanisms. Check for sticking, scraping, unusual force and failure to lock. Do not force a jammed panel or adjust the hardware yourself. Fixed glass is not intended to open, and high or external positions should not be reached by leaning outside.
Look at practical details
Check accessible seals, tracks and the normal route through a balcony door. A visual check cannot establish full waterproofing or acoustic performance. If rain entry or a noticeable draught has occurred, record the conditions and arrange a targeted assessment rather than spraying water outside without an agreed method.
Record the location and repeat after repair
“Right-hand living-room balcony panel is difficult to close” is more useful than “window problem”. Add a photograph or short video and record the item for the developer. After adjustment, repeat opening, closing and locking. Focus on damage, function and the agreed specification; a minor cosmetic difference does not automatically require replacing the entire assembly.
