Connect the enquiry to your contract
Contact the developer company named in your agreement. Identify the project, unit and contract date, and describe dated observations or notices rather than unverified rumours. Keep the agreement, receipts and previous progress updates together.
Ask for three written answers
Request the reason for the pause, the work completed and the proposed next steps. If there is a restart plan, ask about its expected timing, main dependencies and next update. If a date remains unknown, ask what is preventing confirmation. An identifiable email or other clear written communication helps preserve the response.
Compare the answer with delivery commitments
Check whether the explanation still supports the contractual delivery programme. If it has changed, request the revised arrangements. Some activity on site or a proposed restart does not guarantee completion on time. Equally, one pause does not establish permanent abandonment.
Escalate if clarification remains unavailable
If follow-up produces no clear explanation or contractual performance is affected, take your records to the Office of the Consumer Protection Board for guidance and consider independent legal advice. Payment, cancellation and refund decisions depend on the agreement and circumstances. Do not suspend payments automatically, or assume a complaint guarantees an immediate refund. The first goal is usable information for an informed next step.
